I am beginning to understand my panic attck pattern a little better and I am thinking that I am going to wake up very anxious. Wouls it help to take a Alprazolam before bed to avoid an ealry morning attack.

It might. It won't hurt to try. Just don't take more than you should because they can be very addicting and you really don't want that. You also might want to seriously consider doing yoga at night before you sleep. I used to have panic attacks about 5 years ago and one day it just stopped. I don't know if it's because I got a little older or what but one thing that really helped me was this book called The Self Esteem Companian. You can search it on Amazon. I was looking for self help books and found this book at the book store. It really doesn't have anything to do specifically with panic attacks but it really helped me. There are exercises (mental and visual) in there that they have that are really awesome. You should check it out. Maybe you could take the Alprazolam right when you wake up. Seriously though, that book might really help you,.

Does Billie Joe Armstrong (of Green Day) have an anxiety disorder? I heard he had panic attacks more on stage when he was younger like in the 90's. I've seen performaces and he did twitch his head a lot, does the excitement of the concert tend to make his anxiety disorder worst, and he gets excited and panics? I've haven't seen him do it in recent concerts (Bullet In A Bible, live in the Super Dome-I was there) or was it just his singing style when he was into the music? I know the disorder lead him to write Basket Case, but is that what the twitching was back then? Did he not take meds and he does now? This question has been bugging me so I thought, hell might as well ask on Yahoo! Anwsers.
But Billie has been doing this forever, 16 years! He might of been twitchin cuz I popped out of no where and I think I scare the sh!t out of Tre and Billie. It's a long story, but I met them got hugs & an autograph. Yes I scared my favoritie singer/guitarist/frontman, oops. But he was nice, but looked SOOO oldm but he's porbably gunna be like macjagger or whatever and wear shiney close and keep then and when he's 60 he's gunna think he's 34, oh well. But he was awesome when I met him, The story is I got on the field when U2 and Green Day performaned and Iingered behind when they were done, and they got off the little stage and I popped like right infront of he and tre' it was funny, I startled him. He said something like "don't do that again or you'll send me to the hospital."
Hell ya krissy.

yes acually he "left" the band for 6 months becase he had to get tests and keep it under control

I feel light headed sometimes
like my heart isn’t beating hard enough or skipping beats
(I have a heart monitor on for 30 days and the cardiologist says that he hasn’t found anything yet)
cold feet and hands clammy as well
feeling in my mind that I am having a heart attack or stroke
hot flashes
light headed and dizzy
cramps and sharp pains in legs, arms and chest
feeling like I just need to run and get energy out, once I take a walk or do jumping jacks, I feel better
nausea and diarrhea
I periodically get pain in left side of neck only, left arm only, right leg only
Tingling in hands
I have had many EKGs blood work and xrays and the doctors say all is well
I just had a baby and am waking up every 3 hours
I am scared of a stroke but is this panic

its sounds like it could be a hun. i totally understand because i have them too. and many women get there first panic and anxiety attacks through pregnancy and or after the birth of a child. It will be ok. You need to discuss this more with the doctors and and maybe get some medication to help such as anti anxiety pills these wil definitely help if it is anxiety and u wil be back to ur old self again. but if these dont help it could be something more serious. Talk to your doctors about this i promise you everything will be fine!!

I have used this birth control for almost 2 years and for the last 8 months or so have been experiencing increased anxiety and panic attacks in the night. I am wondering if anyone else has any expertise or experience on this issue as possibly being related. Thank you. (The first year + had some anxiety, but I was also in a high stress position… can't identify positive correlation)

The official side effect listing does include "emotional lability" (a.k.a. emotional instability; why don't they just say instability? argh!). I don't know if you'd count your anxiety attacks under that heading. However, the website below has self-reported side effects from Nuvaring users and one of them does mention anxiety.

Light headed is caused by hyperventilation. When you panic, your body breathes faster than it should causing hyperventilation thus, making you feel light headed. Treat it by breathing in a paper bag.

I always get panic attacks during the Christmas Concert at my high school. last year i saw stars/hot flashes and tripped offstage. it was so embarrassing! i’m in show choir so i shouldn’t get these problems, right? i can’t get so paniced. i know i’m going to start feeling faint, even when i am relaxed, breathing, and my knees are “unlocked”. HELP?? also, a lot of the time i’m not singing, i’m standing there on stage while other choirs sing. total time: 1 hour, 30 minutes.

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication. There's this herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.
If you're unable to take St John's Wort, you can substitute it with Siberian Ginseng or Licorice Herb.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced… you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction… There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to….

rockyd70094's answer on the blinker is actually my own idea and invention. You can read it up on the resource for more info.
